Aero brought the carriage to a halt outside of the abandoned house. This was one of the places Aero would retreat to after a job, or when he needed to lay low for a while. The building itself looked like it would fall apart at any moment, at least it did from the exterior. The house had long been empty and like many buildings in the slums, it wasn't getting repair anytime soon. Inside was a different story however. Aero had spent a few months fixing it up to a livable standard.

Aero rapped on the door of the carriage to let Raum know they had arrived. Raum had been pretty quiet the whole trip. Aero hoped he was resting, but his instincts told him otherwise. Aero knew the only way Raum might be able to get his revenge is if they could find the rebels in Telum. With Raum's financial backing, they might get a real shot at taking down the kingdom. You coming? Aero asked as he made his way to the door and unlocked it.

Raum stared out of the window of the carriage for quite a while, every thought hitting his brain like a brick. His family dead, everything turned on him suddenly, Raum's anger holding no comparison to the silence he gave in the carriage. The only person he really knew anymore was Aero, and sometimes it even felt ludicrous to trust him so easily. After all, his life had been stolen from him for monetary reasons, who knows how many others would do the same. Looking up occasionally, Raum glimpsed at the overcast sky preparing for a rainy day and sighed with discontent. As the bumpy carriage slowed to a stop, Raum lifted his eyes open having unknowingly fallen into a short nap. They were arriving in Telum, so Raum put aside his thoughts and lifted himself from the seat.

Most of the pain had dissipated from him, and it felt good to stretch himself out. Most of the bandages were still apparent around his arms, but a large cut remained across his left cheek as Raum refused to keep it bandaged. Hearing a few knocks, he opened the door of the carriage and stepped outside nodding his head at Aero. After unlocking the door, he crept inside to scout around the place and walked back to Aero. They would need to develop some plans for their next steps.

Aero followed Raum inside. It looked like his injuries had healed pretty well for the most part. Aero walked into the main sitting room and sat down and put his feet up on a table in the center of the sitting area. I think our next move is to find the Rebels. Aero began speaking in a relaxed tone. The past couple weeks had been really stressful, so Aero was gonna take a little time to relax before they made there next move in the morning. They're based somewhere here in Telum and from what I hear they're starting to really gain some momentum. I also hear they are lacking in the resource department and could use someone to help back them... Aero trailed off letting Raum take in what Aero was suggesting. Money held power, Raum defiantly had that in spades. It was just a question at this point if Raum would go for the whole rebellion idea.

Raum began to unwrap the rest of his bandages while Aero was conversing with him. The wounds had sealed for the most part, but any straining movements could tear them open again. Finding the rebels sounds good. And resources I can provide. thoughts swirled in his mind, revenge and confusion mixing into some horrid mental concoction. Either way, Raum kept his poise and stamina and began to think of his own drawbacks. I still need more power Aero. he held up his shield and chucked it across the room in self-hatred. He couldn't protect his family. His own strength had failed him.

How to obtain that power though...will be quite difficult. flashing back to a previous visit in Telum, he had remembered some of the denizens well suited in magic. Sparking an idea, Raum stored it in the back of his mind to have top priority after this small meeting. All Raum needed to do was nod, he didn't need to say much else.

Aero stood up and picked up Raum's shield from the floor. He listened to Raum with a bit of curiosity to what he was considering. As Raum finished he walked back over to him and held out the shield for Raum. What exactly did you have in mind? Aero said with a bit of a grin. He needed to get Raum to relax somewhat. Whatever it is, I'm sure it can wait til tomorrow. He walked over and looked out the window and stared out into the streets. Aero too felt like he could use an increase in power. Aero lacked all affinity for magic however. He had once tried to learn some dark magic, but had no luck what-so-ever. He would worry about that later though, like if he ever met someone with extraordinary weapon skill he may ask for some training.

Raum grasped the shield with his right hand and pulled it towards his chest. Setting it beside him, he reached into the back and removed a thick piece of cloth. Unfolding it, he sighed at Aero I suppose you're right. finally realizing he was overexerting himself, Raum threw the cloth over himself while simultaneously removing his large metal boots. And what I have in mind...you can wait until tomorrow as well. he said jokingly, without revealing his refusal to tell Aero. With one last look around the room, he collapsed with a large thud. Closing his eyes, Raum awaited tomorrow not only for his own success, but for a chance to change his own destiny.
